The BEST Sweet Potato Fries

I’m pretty sure everyone has tried to make homemade fries at one point. I’m going to help you nail the best ones you’ve ever made yet! It takes just a few simple steps and key ingredients!

They are super healthy, full of fiber and usable carbs that won’t spike your blood sugar, and have tons of Vitamin A, not to mention, a decent amount of Vitamin Bs too. Here’s how to make them crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum!

Perfect Sweet Potato Fries
Makes 4 servings at 171 Calories

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, scrubbed, skins on
  • 1 heaping tablespoon dried chopped garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Chop your sweet potatoes into finger-sized fries, by cutting them in half first lengthwise, then slicing them again lengthwise, then turning them on their side and slicing them depth-wise. Place into a large pot and cover with filtered water. Bring to a boil, parboiling them for only about 1-2 minutes until the potatoes are softened but still firm, not mushy. Drain them immediately, transfer to a bowl and toss with olive oil, garlic, and sea salt. Transfer to your baking sheet and place in the oven on the middle rack for about 25-30 minutes, moving them around and flipping them with a spatula in the last ten minutes. Remove once they are crispy on the edges and a golden brown. Enjoy with organic ketchup.

Hope you enjoy them!
